About the Del Val Parent Group

The Del Val Parent Group was founded in spring of 2001 by parents who were interested in increasing the overall support to the high school community.  We are committed to:

  • Increasing the communication among the parents, the community and the high school;
  • Providing overall support to the students, teachers and the administration;
  • Promoting and supporting safe and fun student social events;
  • Providing and supporting programs that deal with issues facing parents and teens.

We are not affiliated with any national organizations such as PTA but we share many of their goals as we seek to improve the educational experience for our students at Del Val.  We do not collect dues or run fund fundraisers.  Our primary funding comes from parent donations and the sale of the Student and Safe Homes Directory.

We do not have monthly meetings but will meet in small groups to support our various functions and programs.  Each August, parents will receive a form in the mail to volunteer to help with the things that are needed. The information from the volunteer form is provided to the parents that are heading up the various programs and parents will be contacted by them as needed.  Parents can also contribute financially any time during the year.  Donation checks should be made out to the Del Val Parent Group and sent to the school to the attention of the Del Val Parent Group.
